In March 2007, Blossoms of Hope took a team to Toronto to work with the homeless on the streets. We were led by a mission called CSM (centre student mission). We were able to prepare breakfast and deliver it to the homeless, on the streets. With us we took clothing and so along with the food we were able to provide warm clothing needed for the cold winter. We were met with such gratefulness.
CSM led us through the streets at night teaching us the way of the homeless.
There are 50,000 homeless in Toronto, 30,000 come from small towns. Approximately 25 per year die on the streets.
Over 80% of all teenage runaways resort to prostitution within the first 10 days of being on the streets, male and female.
They are all in our prayers. This was an amazing opportunity to learn to be the heart and hands of Jesus. Blossoms of Hope plans on making this a yearly mission.
Blossoms
of Hope helped these people by visiting, taking food, and
buying clothing for the baby. Showing
them the love of Jesus.
