“Portraits and Profiles: Inspirations In My Life” Columbia Art Center Reception
The Columbia Art Center Galleries and Howard County Tourism & Promotion’s Blossoms of Hope are proud to present Portraits and Profiles: Inspirations In My Life, an invitational theme exhibition, which runs April 16-May 3, 2015 in the Columbia Art Center Galleries.
More than 45 artists are participating in the exhibit. The 2015 theme honors those persons who have served as inspirations. Some works are tributes to people who have dealt with various life and health challenges in a heroic manner, and other works celebrate people who have served as positive role models.
Now in it's sixth year, The goal of this annual theme exhibition is to help raise awareness about and funds for The Claudia Mayer/Tina Broccolino Cancer Resource Center of Howard County General Hospital. Proceeds from the gallery show entry fees and sales from the show will go to Blossoms of Hope in honor of this wonderful Howard County resource center.
A gala reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, April 17, 6-8pm. The evening event will include an awards presentation, poetry reading, and a musical performance. This exhibition is one of a series of events presented by Blossoms of Hope each spring during Howard County Cherrybration Days.
